Will mirrored bedroom walls hurt the sale of my house?

I’m in the process of packing up my two bedroom townhouse in order to put it on the market. Here’s the thing – in both bedrooms, an entire wall is floor to celing mirrors. When I bought the house, the conventional wisdom was that it made the space look bigger, which it does. The irony is that you can’t do a thing with it without cracking, scratching or damaging the wall – and I’ve hated them ever since.

I want to tear these things down and repaint to make the rooms look more functional to buyers, but my family is aghast and swears that these things add appeal to the house because of the whole “space” illusion. Is there anyone out there with any “decor” knowledge who can weigh in on this debate?
